Rivera's Eduardo Garagorri was the only Uruguay native fighting on the main card of UFC Uruguay on Saturday night, and he didn't let his hometown crowd down. Garagorri, who was was making his UFC debut, remained perfect and moved to 12-0 in his professional MMA career with a unanimous decision (30-27 x 3) win over Humberto Bandenay.

Garagorri opened the first with a mix of punches to the body and head. Bandenay showed great reslience to the aggression and landed his own shots in return. Bandenay actually bloodied the hometown favorite in the second, but Garagorri remained cool under pressure.

Bandenay attempted to change things up in the third round and went for the grapple, but Garagorri successfully defended. It wasn't the prettiest fight — and even Garagorri apologized to the fans — but a win is a win, especially for Garagorri in his UFC debut.
