The journey in the UFC for welterweight fighter Jimmy Wallhead has not been an easy one thus far. While his fight status are 29-11-0, none of those victories come from within the octagon as the welterweight signed with the company back in 2016. His first fight against Jessin Ayari ended in a loss decision and his second against Luan Chagas ended in a submission loss. Wallhead has been a fighter since 2005; working across several promotions such as Cage Warriors, BAMMA, KSW and M-1 Global.

On Wednesday, he was notified that he failed a drug test taken on October 7th. The UFC website states, “USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case involving Wallhead. Under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”

However, Wallhead maintains his innocence through a post on his twitter account. We'll keep you updated as this story continues.
