According to
ESPN, Daniel Rodriguez will replace Ramazan Emeev in his fight against Tim Means at UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho. At the moment, the reasoning behind Ramazan Emeev pulling out of the event remains undisclosed.
Means is coming off the biggest win of his UFC career, as the MMA veteran got a submission victory over Thiago Alves at UFC Fight Night Washington D.C. Despite the huge win, Means has suffered more losses than wins in his last five fights, as the only other win for the welterweight was against Ricky Rainey back in November 2018. Means’ professional record stands at 29 wins, 11 losses, and 1 no contest.
Rodriguez will be making his UFC debut here, as the welterweight is coming off of Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3. Prior to the UFC, Rodriguez has worked under Combate Americas, BELLATOR MMA, and King of the Cage. Rodriguez’s professional record stands at 9 wins and 1 loss.
UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho takes place on Saturday, February 15 from the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with Corey Anderson and Jan Blachowicz headlining.
