Could we see Ryan Hall vs. Jose Aldo or Frankie Edgar in 2020?
While there aren’t rumors suggesting the potential match-up, the Ultimate Fighter 22 winner took it upon himself to call out a pair of former champions due to having a hard time getting a bout inside the octagon recently:
Hall hasn’t lost a fight inside the octagon since 2012. The lightweight has defeated Artem Lobov, Gray Maynard, B.J. Penn, and most recently, Darren Elkins.
Edgar is coming off a loss to Chang Sung Jung at UFC Busan. At the moment, the former lightweight champion is recovering from injury. Speaking to
MMA Fighting, Edgar states that he still plans on moving down to bantamweight, though a time table for his return is not set.
Aldo also suffered a recent loss to Marlon Moraes at UFC 245. Like Edgar, there’s no word on when he could possibly return to the octagon. Hall has yet to get a response from either fighter.
