Umar Nurmagomedov will finally make his UFC debut as the bantamweight will take on Hunter Azure at UFC 249.

Earlier this month, the bantamweight was confirmed as the newest member of the division, with the fighter previously competing in Professional Fighters League, Samara MMA Federation, Fight Nights Global, and Fight Star. Thus far, Nurmagomedov has yet to be defeated within the octagon, with the bantamweight’s last win being over Braian Gonzalez at Gorilla Fighting 20. Nurmagomedov’s professional record currently stands at 12 wins and no losses.

Azure enters the contest undefeated as well, with the bantamweight recently scoring a win in his debut over Brad Katona. Prior to joining the promotion, Azure competed in Legacy Fighting Alliance, Golden Fights, and Fusion Fight League. Azure’s professional record currently stands at 8 wins and no losses.

UFC 249 takes place on Saturday, April 18 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson headlining.
