Undefeated bantamweight Sean O’Malley will return to the octagon on Oct. 6 against Jose Quinonez at UFC 229.
O’Malley was on the sidelines recovering after he underwent surgery in March for a foot injury suffered midway through his UFC 222 win over Andre Soukhamthath. His MMA record stands at 10-0 thus far. Quinonez has been on a four-fight win streak in the UFC since 2015. Those victories have been against Leonardo Morales, Joey Gomez, Diego Rivas, and Teruto Ishihara.
UFC 229 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is headlined by the return of Conor McGregor, who looks to reclaim the UFC lightweight championship from Khabib Nurmagomedov.
