In a very quick turnaround, UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko will defend her belt at UFC 251 against Joanne Calderwood.

Shevchenko is coming off a strong victory over Katlyn Chookagian at UFC 247, with the Women’s Flyweight Champion arguably in the best stage in her career thus far. Since losing to Amanda Nunes at UFC 215, the 31-year-old has managed to rack up five wins over Priscila Cachoeira, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, Jessica Eye, and Liz Carmouche. Shevchenko’s professional record currently stands at 19 wins and 3 losses.

Calderwood is also coming off an impressive performance, as the flyweight defeated Andrea Lee at UFC 242. The 33-year-old has won three out of her last four fights, with Katlyn Chookagian being the only blemish on her record. Calderwood’s professional record stands at 14 wins and 4 losses.

The location for UFC 251 is currently unknown; however, the pay-per-view will be headlined with a UFC Featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway.
