Welterweights Rafael Dos Anjos And Michael Chiesa Agree To Match At UFC FIGHT NIGHT 166 On January 25

UFC welterweights Rafael dos Anjos and Michael Chiesa have reportedly agreed to a bout that will take place at UFC Fight Night 166 on January 25 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Contracts have not yet been signed, but UFC welterweights Rafael dos Anjos and Michael Chiesa have reportedly agreed to a match that will take place on January 25 during UFC Fight Night 166.

Dos Anjos (29-12), a former UFC lightweight champion, is currently the No. 5 ranked welterweight. However, he's hit a bit of a road block, losing three of his past four fights. He los to both Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman in 2018 befeore submitting Kevin Lee in May of this year. His most recent fight against Leon Edwards in July was a unanimous decision loss to Leon Edwards. He is now 4-3 since moving up from 155 pounds.

Chiesa (15-4) only fought once in 2019, a unanimous decision win against Diego Sanches in July. Before that win, he submitted Carlos Condit at uFC 232 last December. Chiesa is also a former lightweight and is 2-0 since moving up divisions.

The UFC Fight Night event will air on ESPN+. A heavyweight bout between Junior dos Santos (21-6) and Curtis Blaydes (12-2) is scheduled to headline the event on January 25.
