A new women’s flyweight bout has been confirmed for UFC Fight Night San Diego, as Ariane Lipski will take on Luana Carolina.

Lipski is coming off a victory over Isabela de Pádua at UFC Fight Night São Paulo. The flyweight is hoping to continue building off that win as Lipski suffered two consecutive losses prior to her victory that’s resulted in her having a 1-3 record within the promotion thus far. Despite struggling a bit within the UFC, the 26-year-old is a former KSW Flyweight Champion. Lipski’s professional record is 12 wins and 5 losses.

Carolina enters the bout on a strong six-fight winning streak, with her latest win coming over Priscila Cachoeira at UFC 237. Prior to her debut with the UFC in 2018, the 26-year-old competed in Thunder Fight, Batalha MMA Championship, and Casa Branca Fight. Carolina’s professional record currently stands at 6 wins and 1 loss.

UFC Fight Night San Diego takes place on Saturday, May 16 from a location to be announced in San Diego, California with a main event to be announced.
