WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar May Be Lining Up Another UFC Fight
Well, we didn't see this coming! Following his return to the Octagon last year, we didn't think Brock Lesnar would be making his return to UFC again but rumour has it that another fight could happen soon...
Brock Lesnar made his triumphant return at UFC 200 last year but his win over Mark Hunt was mired in controversy following a failed drug test. However, with his one-year suspension now at an end, it appears as if The Beast could be about to make his return to the octagon as soon as this November.
Twitter account @TalkMMA has claimed that Lesnar and Paul Heyman visited UFC headquarters in Las Vegas last month and that he's now back in the USADA testing pool.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer has since confirmed that the latter point is true but denies that Heyman is involved in any way (which makes sense considering the fact he's not actually Lesnar's advocate). Speculation is running rampant that Lesnar could return for UFC's November 4th show in Madison Square Garden but the earliest he could realistically fight again is mid-December.
We'll have to wait and see but if this fight is going down, we can probably expect Lesnar to drop the WWE Universal Championship at some point between SummerSlam and Survivor Series as that will give him time to train.
