Yair Rodriguez fired back at Zabit Magomedsharipov’s recent comments.

Last week, it was revealed that the featherweight was forced to pull out of his main event bout on August 29 due to an ankle injury and Magomedsharipov made claims that Rodriguez never signed the contract to make the match-up official in the first place. The 29-year-old stated that Rodriguez had “no balls” and was angling for a featherweight bout against Alexander Volkanski.

Rodriguez finally responded and made it clear that the featherweight should shut up and wait until they finally have their match later on this year:

As of this writing, Magomedsharipov has not responded to Rodriguez’s claims. While The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America winner says that the two will meet in October or November, the bout has not been rescheduled between the two featherweights.

In terms of Alexander Volkanski, the featherweight champion ultimately responded to Magomedsharipov’s call outs and the 31-year-old shut down the Russia native, though Volkanski didn’t turn down a potential bout for a later date:
