A new middleweight bout has been confirmed as Zak Cummings will take on Alessio Di Chirico.
Cummings is hoping to rebound after his loss to Omari Akhmedov at UFC 242. The middleweight was on a solid two-fight winning streak before his bout against Akhmedov, beating Trevor Smith (via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 31) and Trevin Giles (via submission at UFC Fight Night 152). Cummings has managed to win three out of his last five fights, also dropping Nathan Coy at UFC on Fox 24. His professional record currently stands at 23 wins and 7 losses.
Alessio Di Chirico is currently in the midst of a two-fight losing streak, with the middleweight's last win taking place in 2018. Chirico beat Julian Marquez (via split decision at The Ultimate Fighter: Undefeated Finale) and got a KO victory over Oluwale Bamgbose at UFC on Fox 26 before his bout against Marquez. Despite being on a two-fight losing streak, Chirico still holds an impressive professional record of 12 wins and 4 losses.
With the middleweight bout added to the fight night card, the current Aug. 29 lineup includes:
Aleksandar Rakic vs. Anthony Smith
Christian Aguilera vs. Sean Brady
Zak Cummings vs. Alessio Di Chirico
