Alonzo Menified vs. Makhmud Muradov is no more.
The UFC Light Heavyweight bout was originally scheduled to take place at UFC Fight Night Washington D.C., but according to
MMA Junkie, Alonzo Menified has pulled out of the bout. Trevor Smith has been confirmed as his replacement.
Smith is looking to gain some momentum at the fight night event, as the featherweight is currently on a two-fight losing streak, dropping his bout against Elias Theodorou and Zak Cummings. Smith will be making his debut as a Light Heavyweight. His current mixed martial arts record stands at 15 wins and 9 losses.
In his debut last month, Muradov defeated Alessio Di Chirico via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Copenhagen. Thus far, the Light Heavyweight is on a twelve-fight winning streak and hasn’t lost a bout in nearly three years. Muradov’s professional record currently stands at 23 wins and 6 losses.
UFC Fight Night Washington DC takes place on Saturday, December 7 from the Capitol One Arena in Washington D.C. with Alistair Overeem and Jairzinho Rozenstruik headlining.
