Priscila Cachoeira vs. Ariane Lipski has been scrapped from UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. The match-up was pulled from the event due to Cachoeira testing positive for a diuretic, according to
MMA Fighting.
Now, Veronica Macedo will step in and fight Lipski. Her bout against Amanda Lemos at UFC Fight Night Washington D.C. will no longer take place.
Lipski is looking to get her first win in the UFC, as the flyweight has yet to secure a victory within the promotion thus far. Lipski came into the UFC white hot with a nine-fight winning streak, but lost to Joanne Calderwood and then Molly McCann. Lipski’s current record stands at 11 wins and 5 losses.
Macedo is looking to keep her momentum going after getting a submission victory over Polyana Viana. The flyweight has only won one out of five of her fights in the UFC. Macedo’s professional mixed martial arts record is 6 wins, 3 losses, and 1 no contest.
UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, November 16 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Jan Blachowicz and Ronaldo Souza headlining.
