Thiago Alves is set to make his return at UFC Fight Night Washington DC, as the welterweight will fight Tim Means.

Alves is looking to get some needed momentum on his side, as the Brazil native lost his fight against Laureano Staropoli back in May. The 36-year-old has only won two out of his last five fights, besting Max Griffin and Patrick Côté. Alves’ professional record stands at 23 wins and 14 losses.

Means is also looking to bounce back from his loss to Niko Price back in March. Like Alves, Means has only won two out of his last five fights, with those wins coming over Ricky Rainey and Alex Garcia. The welterweight’s mixed martial arts stats is currently at 28 wins, 11 losses, and 1 no contest.

UFC Fight Night Washington DC takes place on Saturday, December 7 from the Capitol One Arena in Washington DC with Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris headlining.
