The reigning two-division champion will reportedly defend her bantamweight title against Holly Holm at UFC 239. While a official contract has yet to be signed, both fighters have verbally agreed upon the bantamweight match-up for July 6, which was confirmed by MMAfighting.

Arguably the best female fighter in the world right now, Nunes has gotten victories over the best talents the company has put in front of her. The Brazilian native shocked the world when she defeated Cris Cyborg – who had a 10+ year winning streak going - in 51-seconds this past December. Nunes also defeated Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, Valentina Shevchenko, and Sara Mann. The Bantamweight and Featherweight champion’s professional MMA record is currently 17 wins and 4 losses.

Holm is coming off an impressive victory over Megan Anderson at UFC 225; The bantamweight fighter's biggest accomplishment thus far in the UFC is defeating Ronda Rousey for the respective title. Holm gave up one hell of a fight when she fought for the gold back at UFC 219; however, Cris Cyborg would ultimately win via decision. Holm’s professional MMA record is 12 wins and 4 losses. UFC 239 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
