Unfortunately, UFC Fight Night Kazakhstan has been axed from the month of June.

Despite the recent wave of UFC Fight Night shows that's been set for this month, MMA Fighting confirmed that the event was scrapped due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

UFC Fight Night Kazakhstan was set to be headlined with a bantamweight bout between Petr Yan – who’s currently in the midst of a nine-fight winning streak - and Marlon Moraes, who’s coming off a huge victory over former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo.

The fight night card also featured match-ups such as Jordan Espinosa vs. Zhalgas Zhumagulov and Klidson Abreu vs. Gadzhimurad Antigulov. Abreu is now set to fight Jamahal Hill at UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns on May 23. Thus far, UFC officials have yet to confirm that the special event has been officially cancelled.

For the time being, upcoming UFC events will be most likely take place in Florida as each event booked in May is set in Jacksonville at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. UFC will make it’s return this weekend on pay-per-view with Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje for the UFC Interim Lightweight title and Dominick Cruz and Henry Cejudo for the Bantamweight title as the main attraction for the show.
