UFC LONDON Results: Jorge Masvidal Makes A Statement With Darren Till Knockout

Jorge Masvidal will likely move up in the Welterweight rankings after an impressive knockout win against Darren Till at UFC Fight Night 147 in London on Saturday. Find out how it all went down right here...

Jorge Masvidal has always been on the cusp of greatness, but never quite reached the welterweight division. Having not fought since 2017, Masvidal returned to the Octagon in a match against Darren Till, the third-ranked welterweight and heavy favorite entering the fight.

The adrenaline was pumping early as Masvidal came out with a flying kick that accidentally hit Till in the groin. After the restart, Till responded with a huge straight left that dropped Masvidal to the mat. It looked like Till might get the finish early, but Masvidal managed to recover.

From there, it turned into a display of hubris. The fight became a back-and-forth of powerful shots to the chin; the recipient typically responding with some sort of taunt as if the punch didn't affect them.

This continued into the second round which is when Masvidal switched stances and connected with two devastating left hands that ultimately ended the night for Till.

Following the fight, Masvidal showered Till, who was clearly disappointed with his performance, with respect. He then attempted to make his case that he deserves a title shot.

Seeing as how Masvidal is coming off two losses and this was his first win in over a year, it's doubtful he'll get a title shot with his next fight - especially with how deep the welterweight division is.

Till, who was coming off his first loss in an unsuccessful challenge of then-champion Tyron Woodley, is now 14-2-1.
