While Jorge Masvidal may be more interested in a pay day fight against Conor McGregor, the UFC is seemingly more interested in having the "Baddest Motherf---er" fight for the welterweight title against current champion Kamaru Usman.

UFC president Dana White said on "The Jim Rome Show" on Friday that the promotion is targeting a welterweight title fight between Usman and Masvidal for International Fight Week in July.

"[Masvidal] and Usman will fight in Vegas, probably International Fight Week," White said during a Super Bowl radio row spot. "If [Masvidal] wins, maybe we'll do his first title defense down here in Miami."

According to ESPN sources, the bout has not been finalized. International Fight Week does not yet have a date, but is typically held in Las Vegas in early July.

Jorge Masvidal is riding a three-fight win streak with victories over Darren Till, Ben Askren, and Nate Diaz. He's currently the No. 3-ranked welterweight, behind Usman, Tyron Woodley, and Colby Covington.

Kamaru Usman has won 15-straight fights (11 in the UFC). He beat Tyron Woodley via unanimous decision in March 2019 to become the UFC welterweight champion. His first title defense came against Colby Covington at UFC 245 in December, which he won via fifth round technical knockout.

Earlier this week, Usman and Masvidal got into a heated verbal altercation at Super Bowl Radio Row.
