It only takes one punch. Tim Means found that out the hard way at UFC Fight Night (on ESPN+ 4) as he appeared to be closing in on a first-round finish against Niko Price when a right hand sent him crumbling to the ground.
Both Means and Price out of the gates swinging. The two fighters traded some pretty powerful blows which left Price pretty bloody in the aftermath. However, with just 13 seconds left in the first round, a reeling Price managed to connect with a devastating right hook that sent Means to the canvas. Price quickly followed up with some hammer fists before the referee jumped in and called it.
The UFC guaranteed fireworks between these two fighters and they delivered. The knockout earned Niko Price a cool $50,000 bonus for "Performance of the Night." It was Price's first fight since being knocked out against Abdul Razak Alhassan at UFC 228 in September 2018.
