Will we see a new Universal Champion by the time Hell in a Cell comes around?
It’s certainly possible, as
WWE has announced that a five-way match will take place tonight on Raw and the winner of the contest will face Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship on the September 30 season premiere episode.
The participants are Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, United States Champion AJ Styles, Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, and one half of the Raw Tag Team Champions Robert Roode. In addition to the huge #1 contender’s match-up, WWE has confirmed that Nikki Cross will take on Sasha Banks and we’ll also get a King of the Ring rematch between Baron Corbin and Chad Cable.
A new episode of Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House will also air during Monday’s Raw. This is surely a stacked show and it should be interesting to see who wins the #1 contender’s match.
