Several matches were announced and set up during WWE NXT New Year's Evil episode for next week's edition of NXT, airing Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Half of them were built in the same segment, wherein Ethan Page was in the ring for a promo, calling attention to his greatness. He was interrupted by Jasper Troy (WWE Speed champion) who wants to prove he's the better champion. Josh Briggs then came out to put them both on notice, followed by Stacks and Arianna Grace so he could talk about how he's more important as the TNA International Champion. Shiloh Hill then also came out, saying he has a shot at that international title on next week's episode. Tavion Heights then revealed he has a WWE Speed Championship match next week as well.
Joe Hendry has enlisted the help of OTM's Bronco Nima and Lucien Price to watch his back in a no disqualification match he's requested against DarkState's leader, Dion Lennox.
Lol Vice and Kelani Jordan will also lock up again to continue their feud as Vice seeks to end things with her and move on to face Izzi Dame for the NXT Women's North American Championship in the future.
Some other matches that were set up, but not directly announced to be taking place next week, were Ethan Page having a backstage confrontation with Myles Borne and Tate Wilder (possibly setting up Page against Wilder to come, leading up to a title defense against Borne?) as well as ZaRuca and Fatal Influence having more issues in a backstage segment. Sol Ruca corrected them in not acknowledging that she has a tag team partner in Zaria, only to then say she's coming for Jacy Jayne's NXT Women's Championship, allowing Jayne to retort that that wasn't a very tag team thing to say, proving Zaria and Ruca still have tension to work out.
There will also obviously need to be fallout from tonight's important matches, wherein Izzi Dame defeated Thea Hail for the NXT Women's North American Championship after Blake Monroe was banned from the building for attacking Hail earlier in the night, as well as The Vanity Project joining the brand, Elio Lefleur announced to be coming soon, and Tony D'Angelo overlooking the seemingly vacated NXT Championship, which sounds like a lot to juggle!
Here is your lineup for next week's NXT card at the moment as a recap:
- Lola Vice vs. Kelani Jordan
- No Disqualification Match: Joe Hendry vs. Dion Lennox
- TNA International Championship Match: Stacks (c) vs. Shiloh Hill
- WWE Speed Championship Match: Jasper Troy (c) vs. Tavion Heights
