In 2015, WWE started its tradition of holding the SummerSlam PPV at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and the event will once again take place at the New York City venue on August 19th of this year.

According to a Tweet from the WrestleVotes Twitter account, it is nearly “certain” that WWE will be looking to host the SummerSlam PPV outside of New York City in 2019, and the company is eyeing a stadium venue for the big summer event.
