A champion vs. champion match is set for RAW on Monday.
WWE has confirmed that Bayley (WWE Women's Tag Team and Smackdown Women’s Champion) will take on Asuka (RAW Women’s Champion) on the July 6th edition of the flagship brand:
This match-up is a result of what took place on the NXT: Great American Bash theme where Asuka helped Io Shirai beat Sasha Banks in a non-title match-up. Bayley and Asuka are no strangers to one another as their rivalry goes all the way back to NXT. The RAW Women’s Champion’s 510-day title reign began when she beat Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II.
Thus far, the champion vs. champion match between Bayley and Asuka is the only confirmed bout for Monday Night RAW. Expect to see more development on the WWE Championship feud between Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, and so much more this Monday.
