A Crazy Backstage Story Involving Vince McMahon And Gronk At WRESTLEMANIA Has Been Revealed

We love a good Vince McMahon story, and a new one from behind the scenes of this year's WrestleMania claims that the WWE Chairman had to go to extreme lengths to convince "Gronk" to pull off a stunt...

We've heard many crazy Vince McMahon stories over the years, but this could lead to you finding a newfound respect for the WWE Chairman. During a recent interview, former RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch talked about Vince demonstrating falling off a tower at WWE Headquarters while the Money in the Bank ladder matches were being filmed there, so he's clearly not worried about taking risks.

However, it's now been revealed (via Fightful Select) that he had to go to extreme lengths in order to convince Rob Gronkowski to pull off that fall while he was hosting this past year's WrestleMania in the Performance Center.

Apparently, the NFL star was apprehensive about taking that fall off the stage on to the waiting WWE Superstars below, so to prove that it was all perfectly safe, Vince ended up doing it himself! The site claims that Gronk was "terrified" (something tells us it's a good job he's not planning to wrestle if that's the case), but it was the Vince who talked him round (which took a significant amount of time by the sound of it).

Interestingly, WWE production reportedly struggled to make Gronk look good, and one person in the company even said he looked "like a toddler jumping into the pool for the first time" when he did the dive.

Those in the building were shocked, though, and Vince's response to that? "Not so bad, is it?"
