We were all hoping that last week's mostly entertaining installment of Monday Night Raw was a sign that things had finally turned a corner, but last night's Extreme Rules go-home show was back a massive step backwards.

To give you some idea of how awful the show was in general, the main event was Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon vs. Roman Reigns and a mystery partner of their choice. Earlier in the show, the pair paid a maintenance man with a limp named Gary "The GOAT" Garbutt to step up, but once the match began it became clear that an actual wrestler had masked-up and stood in for him.

It was revealed to be Cedric Alexander only after he'd already been pinned by McIntyre in about 3 minutes in what has to go down as one of the most pointless, waste-of-time matches we've seen in quite some time - and that's saying a lot in this current WWE era.

We hope you were already planning on watching Extreme Rules, because there's no way that tripe will have encouraged anyone to tune in.
