Conflicting reports regarding the main event of WrestleMania 35 are now surfacing. Dave Meltzer recently reported that the company intends to make a triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s championship.
Lynch quickly made the announcement on RAW that she will be going after Ronda Rousey at the grandest stage of them all, but on Smackdown Live, the company made it clear that the rivalry between ‘The Man’ and Charlotte Flair isn’t over.
However, Justin Barrasso of
Sports Illustrated has made a different claim that disputes Meltzer’s statement. Barrasso states that sources within WWE have confirmed that the WrestleMania bout will indeed be a one-on-one encounter between Rousey and Lynch. Flair’s role for the show is reportedly not set in stone yet.
Local advertising has seemingly given away a Charlotte vs. Becky match at Fastlane, which is expected to be used as a way to get Charlotte into the WrestleMania bout. Of course, the card is always subject to change.
At this point, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. While the interest is strongly in Lynch vs. Rousey in a one-on-one bout, the company is reportedly high on Flair due to her performances over the last several months.
