A Number Of WWE Superstars Have Been Removed From The Two ROYAL RUMBLE Matches

It seems as if WWE's Royal Rumble plans are very much in flux because a number of Superstars have been removed from both the men and women's matches at the PPV. Find out the latest after the jump...

As the Royal Rumble card continues taking shape, WWE has now removed a handful of stars from both of the 30 men/women matches. Finn Balor has been taken out because he's challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, while Kalisto is now going to be competing for the Cruiserweight Championship in a Fatal-4-Way match with Buddy Murphy, Akira Tozawa, and Hideo Itami.

Sasha Banks will also no longer be in a Royal Rumble match because she's squaring off with RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey. As a result, there are now twelve open spots in the men's match and eighteen in the women's match. That leaves plenty of room for surprises as we're bound to see some returning legends and possibly even some NXT
callups (which are both known and unknown).

Who are you rooting for in this year's matches? Do you think we'll see Kenny Omega make an appearance? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.
