The one-hour "WWE Special" set to air on FOX this Sunday at 5pm is, in fact, an "abbreviated version" of Friday Night SmackDown. As you're now doubt already aware, Friday's episode is being moved to Fox Sports 1 because of the MLB World Series game. It will keep its normal time slot but ratings are bound to be hurt by this move.

"A special one-hour, abbreviated version of SmackDown will also air Sunday on FOX following the network’s NFL coverage," reads the official description released by FOX.

Despite airing on FS1, Friday's SmackDown is a stacked show as Bray Wyatt will return for a new episode of the Firefly Fun House and Cain Velasquez is set to come face to face with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar ahead of their match at Crown Jewel next Thursday.

WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan are also expected to appear alongside their respective teams so this will be a star-studded show WWE is hoping fans will turn over for.
