In the past few weeks, WWE has been spotlighting both Andrade and Rey Mysterio in a serious of excellent back-and-forth matches between the two Luchadors. This past week’s conclusion of their two-out-of-three falls match saw Samoa Joe interfere, causing a disqualification in the final deciding fall.
It appeared that the company was saving a decision victory for a later date, but according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the direction of the Andrade/Mysterio feud seems to be heading with the two talents ending up as a tag team.
The Observer makes note that it isn’t 100% sure it will happen, but that’s seen as the current direction for both men at the moment. There’s no word on whether Andrade would be turning babyface since it’s highly unlikely that the company will turn Mysterio heel at the moment.
The company is reportedly set to give the tag team division a new focus going forward, and this might be one of the ways WWE is looking to spice up the tag team division on the blue brand.
