Unfortunately, it sounds like we won't see Kevin Owens in the ring again for the rest of 2018. As we've already told you, the former Universal Champion will be undergoing knee surgery soon and it won't be until he's under the knife that the extent of his injury will become known. Now, Dave Meltzer reveals that even minor surgery will end up keeping Owens out of action for at least the next four months.

If Owens needs major surgery, that will keep him out of action for eight months, something which obviously means he'll end up missing next year's WrestleMania, a major blow to the popular Superstar.

With any luck, Owens will be back in time to make a surprise return at next year's Royal Rumble. However, it's said that while Owens being able to walk on his leg is a good sign, he's a tough guy and that's not necessarily a sign that his injury isn't a serious one. With any luck, we'll have a solid update for you soon but we obviously wish Owens a speedy recovery so stay tuned for further updates.
