Preview & Predictions for AAA Ola de Calor 2026:

On tap for Ola de Calor, War Raiders defend the AAA World Tag Team Championship against Los Americanos; Damian Priest, El Fiscal, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and La Parka battle for the vacant AAA Latin American Championship; Penta, Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee take on Perros del Mal; a gauntlet determines the next challenger for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship; El Carnicero makes his official AAA debut; and Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano sign the contract for their AAA Mega Championship match at Triplemania 34 with Rey Mysterio overseeing the proceedings.

I'm never a fan of a contract signing on a special event, are you? Lame.

El Carnicero (aka "Mankane The Undertaker" as I've been calling him) obviously wins his debut.

La Catalina would be my pick to win the Reina de Reinas title shot, but we'll see how that plays out since it is a gauntlet after all.

Los Perros del Mal should pick up the six-man tag team victory to help build themselves up as credible threats after Bronco Nima's loss to Penta.

I'm really torn about the AAA Latin American Championship match. Part of me just says Damian Priest wins because he could be a top star to give AAA some attention, but doesn't it somewhat make more sense to stay within the promotion itself? If so, El Fiscal could be the guy.

War Raiders retain the tag team titles over Los Americanos if they are sticking around. If they're just meant to be filling in the gap and will now be more "Erik and Ivar can lose to the MFTs some more", then Rayo and Bravo stand a good chance to win the belts.

Here are your results for AAA Ola de Calor 2026 - August 30, 2026:

  • Axiom, Mr. Iguana, Noisy Boy and Mascarita Sagrada defeated Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Lince Dorado and Mini Abismo Negro in the opening eight-man tag team match. Mr. Iguana put Del Toro away with a sit-out DDT.
  • CM Punk showed up via video to promote AAA Worlds Collide in Chicago, bringing back a lucha mask styled after his old Straight Edge Society look.
  • La Catalina survived the gauntlet to become Flammer's next challenger for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Triplemania 34. The finishing stretch saw Flammer accidentally nail fellow Las Toxicas member La Hiedra with her championship belt, opening the door for Catalina to get the victory.
  • War Raiders retained the AAA World Tag Team Championship against Los Americanos, but not exactly in the cleanest fashion. Erik snuck the title belt to Ivar, Bravo Americano slammed his own head into it while attempting a diving headbutt, and Ivar took advantage with the pin.
  • El Carnicero's destruction of Chris Carter became too much for the referee to allow the match to continue. The violence kept going afterward until Psycho Clown finally sent Carnicero retreating and challenged him to a Mexican Street Fight at Triplemania 34.
  • Nobody won the Cruiserweight Championship No. 1 contender's match, as Mini Vikingo, Nathan Frazer and Jack Cartwheel reached the 20-minute time limit. Rey Fenix liked what he saw enough to decide he wants all three of them, setting up a four-way Cruiserweight Championship match for Triplemania 34.
  • La Parka is your new AAA Latin American Champion. Damian Priest looked like he had El Fiscal beaten, only for La Parka to break up the pin, hit Fiscal with the Bonebreaker and steal the victory for himself.
  • The Mega Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano is officially signed for Triplemania 34, but Omos managed to make himself part of the story too. Dominik refused to sign unless Rey Mysterio lifted Omos' suspension. Omos then conveniently appeared in the crowd with a ticket, Rey went after him, and Dominik used the chaos to attack Americano. Rey eventually offered Omos another option: beat Rey at Triplemania 34 and the suspension is lifted, but lose and Omos is outright fired from AAA. Once that was settled, Dominik finally signed the contract.
  • Penta, Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee defeated Los Perros del Mal in the main event. Fenix caught Berto with the Mexican Muscle Buster to secure the three-count. Of course, Perros couldn't just take the loss. Karmen Petrovic distracted the babyfaces after the match so Daga, Angel and Berto could jump them from behind, allowing Los Perros del Mal to get the last laugh as Ola de Calor went off the air.
