Adam Rose was something of a flash in the pan in WWE but he's now retiring from the world of pro wrestling. While he was released by the company, he's always had good things to say about them and has praised WWE for helping him get clean and sober due to his substance abuse issues.
Now, Rose has shed some light on just how bad things were for him during his final weeks as a WWE Superstars.
"I was an idiot at the end – a moron, a bumbling buffoon," he admits. "I made mistake after mistake, a lot of them out of self-sabotage because I was so unhappy. I developed a drug addiction and just acted out in every way. The fact that WWE let me leave on what I consider good terms and helped me get clean is a miracle."
Rose has no plans to return to pro wrestling but he was inevitably asked for his thoughts on All Alite Wrestling. "I'm really happy that more companies are coming up to compete with WWE. Everything is better when there's competition – the creative teams push each other, wages go up, everybody's happier, so they work harder."
It's shocking to think he was in such a bad way but WWE definitely deserves some credit for making sure they helped him even after he was released and it became clear they wouldn't be hiring him back. What comes next for Rose after his retirement remains to be seen.
