During Monday night's episode of RAW, Brock Lesnar brutally attacked his Night of Champions opponent Cody Rhodes both backstage and in the ring.
The storyline outcome was that the American Nightmare is now heading into Saturday's PLE with a broken arm. Now at a major disadvantage in this rematch with The Beast (he managed to defeat him at Backlash in what proved to be a fluke victory) and there's someone who really isn't happy with Lesnar's actions: AEW star Dustin Rhodes.
Better known as Goldust from his lengthy WWE run, he's Cody's brother and former tag team partner and rival.
Taking to Twitter, Dustin called Lesnar "a piece of sh*t," and while you might put this down to some sort of mysterious backstage heat, it appears he's just playing into the storyline. Considering the fact he's no longer part of WWE, it's a little surprising, but a fun way to support his brother after watching him receive such a violent beatdown on Monday night.
Backstage at RAW, Cody refused medical help and argued with Adam Pearce about still competing at Night of Champions. At the end of the show, WWE CCO Triple H finally got involved and made it clear Rhodes needs to receive medical attention.
After pointing out the fact his arm is obviously broken and insisted he can't allow the former AEW star to compete this weekend. Pointing out that Triple H would have fought through the pain, Rhodes vowed to battle Lesnar as planned and received the nod from his boss, making it clear the match will still take place.
Going back to Dustin, we can't help but hope he'll eventually step back into a WWE ring, though he's recently suggested that his in-ring career is already winding down.
