After A Disastrous Start, It Doesn't Sound Like The Shield Will Be Reforming In The Near Future

While Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins had an entertaining run as RAW Tag Team Champions, The Shield reunion didn't go as planned and speculation is now running rampant that the faction won't be returning.

The Shield reforming last year was a very big deal but it didn't take long until things started going wrong. Roman Reigns had to miss their first match back as a unit because of the mumps and just when things started going right for the dominant faction, Dean Ambrose was shelved with an injury.

As a result, the hype surrounding the team's reunion quickly dissipated and now speculation is running rampant that we're not actually going to The Shield together again when Ambrose returns this year.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one of the DVDs being released this year is "The Shield: Rise and Fall," a title which doesn't exactly point to them teaming up again. After all, if WWE is focusing on the fall of this group, then a run with them together again wouldn't make a whole lot of sense and it sadly feels like the moment has passed for a reunion to make any sort of sense.
