The first match between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe took place at SummerSlam and ended when the former was disqualified for hitting his opponent with a steel chair. Last night, they clashed again and the match ended in controversy when it was revealed that Styles tapped out to Joe while the referee was counting the 1-2-3. In the video below, Styles weighs in on how things wrapped up.
As you can see, he's pretty confident in his victory and wasn't fazed by the news that he will have to defend the WWE Championship again, this time at the Super Show-Down in Australia.
However, SmackDown Live General Manager Paige has reportedly said that there must be a definitive winner this time, so it sounds like this rivalry could come to a close at the event. Styles has held the title for nearly a year so it will be interesting seeing if Joe finally gets his hands on it or if there's a bigger plan in the works here. What do you guys think?
