Tonight's episode of SmackDown "Live" ended on a rather shocking note as AJ Styles laid out Vince McMahon with a forearm shot.

The two ran into each other backstage after the main event, and The Chairman told The Phenomenal One that he knows he "has a black hole inside of him and he wants him to harness it," before stating that he wants to "see the animal" and slapping him in the face. Styles responded with a forearm that knocked McMahon to the floor, as officials ran in to break things up.

We have no idea where this is going, but many have pointed out that a poster of The Rock was visible on the wall during the segment. Complete coincidence or intentional tease? We're leaning towards the latter, but who knows.

What do you guys make of this? Sound off in the comments section below.
