Yesterday, a rumor that AJ Styles would be given a new "bodyguard" in the form of 7-foot former Basketball Player Jordan Omogbehin, and sure enough, the big man was standing beside the Phenomenal One in the ring when Raw returned from a break... with zero explanation.
Styles faced off against Matt Riddle in a decent, but very quick match. The King of Bros gained the upper hand, but when he rolled to the outside, Omogbehin balled his fist and "scared" Riddle back into the ring where AJ was waiting with a Styles Clash and a 3-count.
Jordan is certainly an imposing figure, but did anyone really buy that Riddle would be so spooked by him making a fist? Plus, does Styles really need a bodyguard? He's never been portrayed as a your typical chickenshit heel in the past, so it seems a little odd to take his character down this route. There's always a chance this will be more of a team dynamic with Jordan helping him win matches, which would probably work a lot better.
