This past week on Smackdown Live, the show closed off with an intriguing angle.

After firing AJ Styles up with his comments, Vince McMahon slapped the former WWE champion, but Styles retaliated with a stiff punch to the face dropping the WWE chairman.

The segment was clearly designed for a character change for the Smackdown Live star, who’s been a babyface on the blue brand since his brief feud with Shane McMahon back at WrestleMania 33.

Styles made his first comments about hitting Vince by stating, "...and I'd do it again #SDLive." There’s no telling on whether this was a heel turn or not, but this change in Styles’ character does have many fans curious to see what happens next with the former WWE champion.
