Despite The Undertaker's apparent retirement, AJ Styles remains keen on a rematch with the Deadman following their memorable Boneyard Match at this year's WrestleMania. During an interview with BT Sport, the Intercontinental Champion explained how he would up the stakes for another bout between the two veterans.
"Fine, you want me to give you one, I’m the IC champ. Undertaker has never been the IC champ," Styles started. "I’ll put it on the line against you [Undertaker] and if you can friggin beat me, I’ll leave the WWE forever, but if I win, you leave. There’s the story behind that one."
"I want the Undertaker at SummerSlam because he hasn’t come to me and said, ‘I’m done, I’m retired.’ He just said it on TV. But he said that if Vince [McMahon] needed him, he’d be there."
Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely this match would take place at the show next month, especially when it's in the empty WWE Performance Center. Still, it could happen somewhere down the line, even if The Undertaker seems pretty happy to have hung up his boots.
Well, for now at least...
