IMPACT Wrestling recently signed former WWE Superstars Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, and during a recent interview, they mentioned wanting to convince AJ Styles to return to that company. That seems highly unlikely, but the Intercontinental Champion weighed in on the matter during a recent Twitch stream.
"I don't know what to think about that; you guys know how I feel about that," Styles said, referring to past comments that he wants to retire as part of WWE. "Yeah, Gallows and Anderson are trying to get me back [in Impact Wrestling] is what they said. Never say never but I also have said that I would like to finish my career in the WWE. So, we will see."
"Not to say that they don't have a lot going on right now. Man, they've got some strong talent," he said of the way TNA has turned things around and become IMPACT Wrestling. "Not that they didn't have good talent before, but they've upped it just a little bit more."
Ultimately, while it may be unlikely that Styles gets to reunite with Gallows and Anderson, he's just happy to see them doing well after their release by WWE near the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. "Man, I am so happy for those guys. I'm happy they're happy, you know what I mean? 'Cause there was a tough time there for all of us. So, they're kicking tail right now anyway."
Do you think Styles would be a good fit for the new-look IMPACT Wrestling?
