As you might expect, the United States Championship match was a highlight of SummerSlam and both AJ Styles and Ricochet delivered, well, phenomenal performances.

After a competitive back and forth bout which saw RAW Tag Team Champions Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows attempt to interfere on a number of occasions, Styles managed to retain his title after countering a Phoenix Slash into the Styles Clash. As you may recall, that's exactly what happened in his classic bout with Kota Ibushi in Japan!

Once Styles earned the 1-2-3, The Club (The O.C.?) hit the ring to hit Ricochet with the Magic Killer.

What comes next for the United States title now remains to be seen but it appears as if Styles' feud with Ricochet is now at an end.
