AJ Styles Retained The WWE Championship At SUMMERSLAM...After Being DQ'd For Attaching Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe didn't walk out of SummerSlam with the WWE Championship but things between him and AJ Styles clearly aren't over based on the bloody end to their match at the Biggest Party of the Summer...

AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe was the second match of the night to end with a DQ at SummerSlam (the first being The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers) but at least this one is bound to get fans talking!

In a solid back and forth bout, both men pulled out some big moves as Styles' wife and daughter watched on from ringside. Joe kicked off the match by insulting them both but after a failed Muscle Buster ended with Styles being knocked outside the ring, Joe ended up taking things a step too far as he threw the Phenomenal One into the steps, busted him open, and told Wendy that he'll be her "daddy."

That sent Styles into a rage and after brutally attacking Joe, he ended up being disqualified after beating up WWE personnel and hitting his old foe with multiple steel chair shots. It goes without saying that a rematch is now more than likely on the cards but whether or not that will wrap up with Samoa Joe as WWE Champion remains to be seen. Needless to say, he's clearly got under Styles skin now...
