During yesterday morning's episode of Talking Smack, AJ Styles dropped quite the bombshell about Sami Zayn's absence from television for the past several months. He recently returned to SmackDown and will face Styles and Jeff Hardy in a Triple Threat Ladder Match during tonight's Clash of Champions PPV.
Despite being in character during the interview, Styles revealed that Zayn recently became a father and, like Roman Reigns, that no doubt explains why he hasn't been part of WWE programming lately.
"He hasn’t been doing anything. From what I hear, he’s a brand new father," the Phenomenal One said. "When your wife starts getting big, so do you. You eat right with her because you don’t want to make her feel bad so you just gobble it up right beside her, whatever she wants to eat, we’ll eat together."
"Listen, Sami has probably been rubbing her feet because when you’re pregnant...he hasn’t been doing nothing but rubbing feet and eating!"
Needless to say, we definitely send our congratulations Zayn's way if he has, in fact, become a father, and it's going to be interesting seeing how things play out tonight. Two Intercontinental Championships will be hung above the ring, with the winner crowned the "undisputed" champion after weeks of controversy.
