AJ Styles Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura At BACKLASH Once Again Ended In Disappointment

The third match between WWE Champion AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura took place at last night's Backlash PPV but just like their clash at the Greatest Royal Rumble, the bout ended very disappointingly.

When it was announced that the WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura at Backlash would be a No Disqualification match, most fans assumed that it would finally deliver a satisfying resolution to this rivalry with the King of Strong Style emerging victorious with the title and this feud continuing well into the summer as they did battle with that on the line.

Well, it's not over but this bout had another disappointing ending as it wrapped up with Styles and Nakamura simultaneously hitting each other with low blows and being unable to stand up after.

Chances are their next match will take place at Money in the Bank next month and that it will more than likely feature a stipulation such as "Last Man Standing" or "Falls Count Anywhere." We'll have to wait and see but common sense says that things aren't over between these two and, if we're lucky, their next fight won't end the same way it did last night (that is a pretty cool GIF, though).
