TMZ Sports recently caught up with Alberto Del Rio to discuss his fight with former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz for Combate Americas. As you might expect, he was asked about the possibility of returning to WWE and despite speaking about the company in a negative way in recent years, he certainly sounds open to the idea.

"The door has always been open for both sides," he revealed. "I’m not against their business and they’re not against my business. At the end of the day, I understand now as a promoter, nothing is personal. When you’re an athlete, sometimes you think your boss doesn’t agree with you because he doesn’t like you but it’s nothing personal."

Del Rio went on to say that he's still in touch with many US promotions and that he's planning on making some sort of return to the world of pro wrestling in 2020. Whether that will be WWE related remains to be seen but you can check out comments from the former WWE Heavyweight Championship in the player below.
