Aleister Black Comments On Shock WWE Release: "This Was A Complete Left Field For Me"

Aleister Black has put out a statement following his shock WWE release earlier today, and it sounds like the former NXT Champion had no idea this was in the cards. Find out what he had to say...

Earlier today, WWE announced another round of releases, and while we were expecting some surprising names to be "future endeavoured" in the coming days, it's probably safe to say nobody saw the likes of Braun Strowman, Lana and Aleister Black being let go.

We're still waiting to hear from the Monster Among Men and the Ravishing (former) Russian, but Black, who has no reverted to his indie moniker Tommy End on social media, has released the following statement.

Clearly, this came as a big shock to Black, and it's not difficult to understand why. The former NXT Champion had literally only just returned to SmackDown after a lengthy hiatus with a new gimmick to kick-off (no pun) a feud with Big E, so the timing is simply inexplicable.

WWE, ie, Vince McMahon, never really seemed sure what to do with Black (which should tell you all you need to know about how fit he is to run the company), so hopefully he'll get the chance to shine in another promotion soon.

Keep an eye out for updates, as other released Superstars are bound to weigh in fairly soon.

WWE really needs a clause for the non-compete part of the contract (in a perfect world their wouldn't be one), surprise releases like this should not be held to the 90 restriction.
