The wrestling world is reeling from the news that WWE has released Bray Wyatt and all eyes are now on what he does next. An AEW debut seems inevitable, but given the unique characters he portrayed in WWE, Wyatt - real name Windham Rotunda - could reinvent himself in countless ways for any number of companies (just imagine him in competing for NJPW).
Wyatt hasn't been on WWE television since WrestleMania, and the prevailing theory is that the company wanted to focus on Alexa Bliss' transformation into a similarly deranged character.
Before she turned on him, Bliss worked closely with Wyatt, and she's now taken to social media to share her reaction to the news. "I really am at a loss for words," she started. "Thank you so much Windham for everything you’ve done for this company. The most fun I’ve had is working with you. Such an amazing talent & the most kind person. I’m just in shock."
There's no word on what led to this release, though it's hard to imagine Vince McMahon not having an inkling this would happen as it was only a few days ago he teased the possibility of releasing more Superstars in order to give AEW additional talent they can invest in.
And, as you might expect, there's already plenty of speculation about Wyatt's in-ring future...
