As expected, Alexa Bliss failed to capture the RAW Women's Championship from her opponent Nia Jax at Backlash but there may be more bad news for the WWE Superstar today. Shortly after the event wrapped up, the company revealed on WWE.com that "Alexa Bliss suffered an injury to her left shoulder during her Raw Championship Match against Nia Jax at WWE Backlash."

The statement adds that "Bliss is currently awaiting further medical evaluation" so nothing is set in stone but should she require surgery, Bliss will obviously miss a fair bit of time on the road.

With any luck, WWE is just taking precautions and she'll be okay but no updates have been provided as of yet so we may learn more
on RAW tonight. Needless to say, we'll be sure to keep you updated but if Jax has injured Bliss, WWE officials could quickly end her push, especially as it's quickly becoming clear that fans aren't buying into her new, anti-bullying babyface persona.
