There's more good news for All Elite Wrestling today as Wednesday night's episode of Dynamite drew 893,000 viewers compared to NXT's 794,000 viewers. The gap is certainly closing between the two shows, but that Steel Cage match clearly helped AEW gain that 12.5% lead despite NXT following NXT TakeOver: Portland.
Dynamite ranked #5 in the Cable Top 150, whereas NXT was #16. In terms of viewership, AEW hit #44 and WWE's developmental brand was obviously behind that at #56.
The hope was that WrestleMania would make a difference to NXT, especially with Charlotte Flair challenging Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women's Championship at the Show of Shows. While it's certainly helping, it's still not quite enough to top what AEW is currently delivering to wrestling fans.
